1. Commitment to Accessibility

We aim to provide an inclusive digital environment that supports access to journal information, article metadata, policy pages, archives, and essential user journeys across desktop and mobile devices.

Accessibility is an integral part of our continuous service improvement strategy. We strive to identify and reduce barriers that may limit access to research content, submission systems, and academic resources.

2. Accessibility Standard Target

We aim to design and enhance our digital services in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards.

While we actively work towards full compliance, certain legacy content and third-party materials may not yet fully meet accessibility requirements.

3. Measures We Take

  • Use of clear heading structures and meaningful page titles
  • Improved keyboard navigation for interactive elements
  • Readable typography with appropriate spacing and contrast
  • Responsive design for accessibility across devices and screen sizes
  • Regular review of forms, buttons, links, and system messages for usability
  • Continuous improvement of user interface and navigation experience
  • Encouragement of accessible publishing practices for authors and contributors

4. Accessible Scholarly Content

We encourage authors and contributors to follow accessible content practices, including structured documents, descriptive headings, meaningful link text, and alternative descriptions for non-text elements.

Due to the nature of scholarly publishing, some PDFs, legacy archives, tables, figures, or externally sourced materials may have accessibility limitations.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist, including older or archived content that may not fully comply with accessibility standards, third-party integrations with limited accessibility features, and complex academic content such as formulas, tables, or datasets.

We continuously review and improve high-priority areas to enhance accessibility over time.

6. Third-Party Content and Services

Some sections of the website may rely on third-party services, including hosting platforms, indexing systems, external repositories, or embedded tools. While we aim to use accessible technologies, we do not have full control over the accessibility compliance of third-party services.

7. Feedback, Assistance, and Alternative Access

If you experience any accessibility barriers or require assistance accessing content, we encourage you to contact us with details of the issue, including the page or feature involved.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative access to requested content, address accessibility issues where possible, and guide users to accessible formats or alternative resources.

8. Review Cycle and Updates

This Accessibility Statement will be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect improvements in technology, content updates, evolving standards, and user feedback.
